Adding Green with Hands, Beautifying Our Home——A Record of Soletks Group's Parent-Child Arbor Day Activity
The spring breeze brushes against the face, bringing the message of sprouting plants; the warm sun pours down, illuminating the vitality of all things awakening. On March 12th, a hopeful Arbor Day, Soletks Group held a unique "Adding Green with Hands, Beautifying Our Home" parent-child activity, allowing employees and their children to spend an unforgettable time together. The event was held at the central square in the group's campus. Colorful balloons swayed in the air, and banners printed with "Protect the Environment" and "Grow with Green" fluttered in the wind. The staff had already prepared supplies such as colored pens, kites, small buckets, and gardening tools. The venue was filled with a warm and cheerful atmosphere, waiting for the arrival of parent-child families.
At around 9 a.m., as parents arrived with their children one after another, the activity officially kicked off. This event was carefully designed with four sessions: "Painting Kites of Hope", "Excellent Works Selection and Awarding", "Parent-Child Gardening Work", and "Flying Dream Kites". Each session was thoughtfully arranged to not only let children enjoy the fun of hands-on creation but also convey the concept of environmental protection through interaction.
In the "Painting Kites of Hope" session, white kites, acrylic paints, and paintbrushes of different thicknesses were neatly placed on the long table in the center of the square. As soon as the children saw these materials, they excitedly pulled their parents to sit around the table and couldn't wait to pick up the paintbrushes. Some children knelt on the chairs, carefully sketching a circle of tender green vines along the edge of the kite, murmuring, "This is the color of spring"; others preferred bright colors, using red and yellow paints to draw large blooming flowers in the center of the kite, and even added a few butterflies dancing beside them, saying they wanted to "keep the flowers from being lonely forever"; there were also children with creative ideas who painted the kite into a silver-white spaceship, decorated with blue planets and twinkling stars around it. They pulled their father's hand and proudly explained, "I want the kite to carry the green of the Earth to space!"
Parents were also infected by the children's enthusiasm. They put down their mobile phones one after another and became "assistants": mothers patiently squeezed paint for the children and reminded them, "Be careful not to get your clothes dirty"; fathers squatted beside the children, teaching them brush-holding skills hand in hand, and occasionally being "instructed" by the children to add a few strokes. One father originally wanted to draw a big tree according to his own idea, but his daughter insisted on changing it to a "magic tree full of candies". The father and daughter argued with a smile for a while, and finally added colorful candy patterns according to the child's wish. The sun filtered through the leaves and fell on the smiling faces. The rustling sound of paintbrushes rubbing against paper, the children's laughter, and the parents' reminders intertwined, forming the most beautiful melody in spring.
After an hour of creation, the originally blank kites became colorful, each carrying the child's unique imagination of a "beautiful home". Then came the "Excellent Works Selection and Awarding" session. All the kites were neatly hung on the ropes on both sides of the square. The jury composed of group leaders and employee representatives selected the works based on three criteria: "creativity", "relevance to environmental protection theme", and "color matching". The children held their parents' hands, stared nervously at their own works, and occasionally stood on tiptoes to check the judges' expressions. When the host announced, "Best Creativity Award——Green Planet in Space", the little boy who painted the spaceship jumped up immediately and ran excitedly to the stage; the little girl who won the "Most Beautiful Color Award" shyly hid behind her mother. It was not until her mother gently pushed her that she walked onto the stage with a smile.
During the award ceremony, the background music suddenly switched to "The Lone Brave", a song familiar to all children. Surprisingly, the children on the stage almost sang along with the melody simultaneously. Some nodded their heads to the rhythm, while others waved their small fists. Although they couldn't remember all the lyrics and occasionally stumbled, their serious and passionate manner instantly enlivened the atmosphere off the stage. Parents took out their mobile phones one after another to record this warm moment, and applause and cheers rose and fell. Even the judges couldn't help but nod gently to the rhythm, turning the entire square into a sea of joy.
After the award ceremony, the most anticipated "Parent-Child Gardening Work" session began. Considering the children's safety, the "heavy work" of pruning flowers and plants was undertaken by the fathers who volunteered. The staff had already disinfected tools such as large scissors and electric saws. Putting on gloves, the fathers instantly transformed into "professional gardeners": some squatted in front of the bushes, carefully pruning the messy branches to make the shape more neat; some held electric saws and carefully handled the overgrown vines to prevent the branches and leaves from blocking the campus street lamps; a few fathers gathered to discuss pruning techniques and occasionally reminded each other, "Be careful not to cut the new buds". Under the sun, their focused figures and the shining tools in their hands complemented each other, becoming a unique scenic spot in the campus.
On the other side, under the leadership of their mothers, the children started the "small watering task". Each child received a small bucket printed with cartoon patterns. They lined up neatly and went to the faucet beside the lawn to fetch water. Some children were not strong enough and couldn't carry the bucket even when it was half full. Their mothers taught them hand in hand, "Hold the edge of the bucket with both hands and walk slowly"; some children were very caring. They deliberately walked around to the small saplings in the corner of the square, gently poured water on the roots, and leaned over to the saplings, whispering, "Little sapling, drink more water, grow tall, and grow up with me!" A few children even formed a "watering team" on their own, dividing the work of fetching and pouring water. Although they occasionally spilled water on their shoes, their faces were always filled with bright smiles, and their clear children's voices echoed in the campus.
As the sun set in the west, the activity entered the final session——"Flying Dream Kites". Parents took their children to the open area of the square and taught them kite-flying skills hand in hand: some fathers held the kites and let the children run forward holding the strings, shouting, "Run faster, the kite is going to fly!"; some mothers patiently helped the children adjust the length of the strings and told them, "If the string is too tight, it will break; if it's too loose, the kite will fall. You need to find the balance slowly". When the first kite covered with flowers successfully flew into the sky, the children cheered immediately and tried to imitate.
Soon, the sky was filled with colorful kites: some flew high and steadily, drawing beautiful arcs in the blue sky; some hovered playfully at low altitude and occasionally "collided" with each other; a few kites accidentally broke their strings or got stuck in the trees, but the children were not discouraged at all——the children whose kites broke their strings chased after the kites, laughing crisply; the children whose kites were stuck in the trees climbed up the ladder with their fathers' help to get the kites down, and instead thought, "This is a special adventure". Regardless of whether the kites flew high or low, succeeded or failed, the children's running figures, pure and hearty laughter, and the parents' gentle company and encouragement filled this spring evening with warmth and comfort.
When the last kite landed slowly, the activity came to an end amid the children's laughter and shouts. Many children held their parents' hands, staring reluctantly at the small saplings and the sky in the campus, muttering, "I want to come again next year". This special Arbor Day not only brought the children full of joy but also sowed the seed of "protecting the environment and beautifying the home" in their hearts——from painting environmental protection-themed kites with their own hands to participating in gardening work and watering the small saplings, the children understood the meaning of "green" through practice and developed the awareness of cherishing nature and guarding their home.
This activity is also highly consistent with Soletks Group's corporate philosophy. As a technology enterprise focusing on the R&D and production of flat-panel clean thermal energy equipment, Soletks Group has always taken "providing clean energy and guarding the green home" as its mission since its establishment. The flat-panel clean thermal energy equipment developed by the group can effectively replace traditional high-energy-consuming heating equipment, reduce carbon emissions, and contribute to improving the natural environment. Today, the group's annual output of flat-panel clean thermal energy equipment has reached 3GWth. These equipment are widely used in residential buildings, commercial buildings, industrial production and other fields, not only creating a comfortable living and working environment for users but also contributing to the realization of the national "dual carbon" goal with practical actions.
From the R&D of clean energy at the corporate level to the parent-child environmental protection activities at the employee level, Soletks Group interprets the connotation of "green development" with practical actions. Just like the beautiful visions depicted by the children on their kites, Soletks Group will continue to take "guarding green" as its responsibility. While promoting the development of the clean heating industry, it will actively fulfill its social responsibilities and use technology and love to jointly paint a beautiful picture of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
