Senior Officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Visit Soletks Group
Exploring New Pathways for Solar Thermal Applications in Clean Energy
On November 28, Mr. Han Aixing, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Building Energy Efficiency and Technology under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, visited Soletks Group for an on-site inspection and research tour. He was accompanied by Mr. Wu Huimin, Executive Vice President of the China Construction Metal Structure Association and Chairman of the Heating Radiator Committee, and Mr. Chen Jiangyun, Vice President of the Clean Energy Application Branch. Soletks Group’s Chairman, Mr. Han Rongtao, along with senior management, warmly welcomed the delegation.
During the visit, Deputy Director-General Han Aixing, accompanied by Chairman Han Rongtao, toured the group’s exhibition hall. The exhibition showcased Soletks’s achievements and product portfolio in the clean energy sector, including flat-plate solar collectors, solar-powered heating systems, agricultural greenhouse heating and drying solutions, and integrated solar PV-T systems.
Chairman Han Rongtao gave a detailed report on the group’s business scope, development history, technological innovation, and key application scenarios. He highlighted that since its founding in 2009, Soletks has grown from a solar water heater manufacturer into a technology-driven group with a complete industrial chain. With core expertise in solar absorber coatings and more than two decades of industry experience, the company has consistently advanced the efficiency and versatility of flat-plate solar collectors. Today, Soletks provides customised clean energy solutions for buildings, industries, agriculture, and distributed energy systems.
Deputy Director-General Han showed great interest in the Shigatse Saga County Central Heating Project, one of Soletks’s flagship projects in Tibet. He inquired about its collector area, heating coverage, and operational performance. He emphasised that solar energy holds a unique and irreplaceable role in the clean energy landscape. He encouraged Soletks to leverage its specialised expertise, strengthen the development of solar applications, and ensure that technological advantages are effectively translated into practical results and social value.
Chairman Han Rongtao echoed these remarks. He explained that since July last year, Soletks has embarked on a “second transformation,” shifting from solar water heating to a broader focus on flat-plate clean thermal energy. By enhancing its core coating technologies, Soletks has expanded solar applications beyond domestic hot water to include urban district heating, greenhouse heating, factory heating, and agricultural drying. This transformation has enriched the clean energy options available to society and opened new opportunities for sustainable development.
In the subsequent roundtable discussion, Mr. Wang Yitang, General Manager of Beijing Paijie HVAC, and Mr. Ding Haibing, Chief Engineer of Tianspu New Energy, joined Chairman Han in discussing topics such as standardisation of solar thermal systems and integration of solar thermal with photovoltaic performance. The experts agreed that advancing the solar thermal industry requires coordinated efforts in innovation, standards, and system integration.
This visit not only highlighted Soletks Group’s strengths in clean energy technology and applications but also reinforced its commitment to innovation and sustainability. Looking ahead, Soletks will continue to pursue its mission of “bringing clean energy to every home,” leveraging its complete industrial chain and working closely with industry partners to contribute to China’s “dual carbon” goals and the global transition to green energy.
